Halloween has arrived and the fall weather has decided to show up just in time too! If you have put off some of your fall traditions in hopes of some cooler temperatures and pretty leaves, the time is finally here.
We have gathered some fun ways to celebrate fall and extend the excitement of Halloween in our community this weekend. Halloween is such a great time to let the kids be kids and bring out some of our own childlike excitement before the hustle and bustle of holiday season truly gets underway, and there are tons of fun events to help you make the most of it!
Halloween in Downtown Frederick
The businesses of downtown Frederick are opening their doors for trick-or-treating tomorrow, Saturday 10/28 from 10am to noon. There are lots of fun activities planned around town and a costume contest to partake in. Check out all the details and see the participating businesses here.
Downtown Halloween Party Brunswick
After you have finished your tour through Frederick in the morning (and hopefully sneaked in a nap) keep your costume on and head to downtown Brunswick for Main Street's Halloween Party. They have a pumpkin carving and festive house contest going on this week, making for a fun drive through town. Check out the fun treats and dance party plans here.
Trick or Treat Through History - Childrens Museum
If you're looking for something to do tonight and you want to throw in some educational fun to your Halloween festivities, check out the Children's Museum of Rose Hill Manor Park. The museum is having Trick of Treat through history, allowing your kids to meet classic characters and historical figures while they snag treats and explore the museum.
Fall Harvest Festival at Summers Farm
Cornfield maze, music, animals, pumpkins, and more await you to enjoy at Summers Farm. They have over 45 different activities and attractions for kids of all ages. If you're there at the right time, you may even get to see some fireworks! Read about all the details on their website.
Trail of Jack-O-Lanterns
Starting tonight at 6pm, Green Meadows Farm in Urbana is hosting the Trail of Jack-O-Lanterns! Come see a new trail full of lights, jack-o-lanterns, and creepy critters. Hayrides, food, and animals are some of the fun things for the family to enjoy for a cheap, and not scary, Halloween treat.
Enjoy all the awesome events we have to explore in our community this weekend and show us your Halloween and fall spirit on our Facebook page!
